George Gilder's 'Men and Marriage' topic of area book club meeting

I recently received notice of this highbrow-sounding free area book club. Its first meeting is next Thursday in the Main Line town of Wynnewood (Lower Merion Township). Below is the press release I received from the Wynnewood Institute's Book Discussion Group.

Book Discussion Group
with Professor Thomas Patrick Burke

The Book Discussion Group will begin meeting again after the summer recess on Thursday, September 20.

Book: After reviewing a number of recent books in various areas, the members attending the last session decided unanimously to read and discuss George Gilder's book Men and Marriage. Published in 1992, it investigates the controversial question of gender roles and their impact on society. In recent months this question has leapt to the forefront of political debate despite the nation's current problems concerning jobs and the economy.

Attendance is open, but if you wish to take an active part in the discussion you must have read the chapters being discussed.

Location: 104 Haverford Road, Wynnewood, PA 19096.  Map.
Time: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Fee: Free of charge.

Open, but if you wish to come, please register to wynnewood@wynnewood.org.
Send us an email with your comments. Comments may be posted on the Wynnewood Institute's website. The Institute reserves the right to withhold comments that are poorly written or offensive.
