Master outdoorsman releases series of guidebooks via partnership with Pottstown’s Pro Tool Industries

Pro Tool Industries, a Pottstown company known for manufacturing the Woodman's Pal, has teamed up with outdoor writer J. Wayne Fears (great name for an outdoor writer) to produce a series of no nonsense, how-to guidebooks for the devoted outdoorsman on the following topics: Deer Hunting and Management, Survival and Outdoor Cooking.

In case you're curious (and I was): The Woodman's Pal, is an ingenious little "machete designed to trim, prune, chop, split, blaze trails, brush out lines, clear campsites, chop firewood, split kindling, build hunting blinds or lean-to-shelters," according to the company's Web site.

But back to the books. Fears, with more than four decades of experience as a hunter, trapper and conservationist, has written more than 4,000 articles for outdoor magazines and has published 22 books.

The first four guidebooks in this new series series are now available. They are: "How to Manage Native Plants for Deer," "How to Hunt Clear Cuts Successfully," "How to Make Jerky and Pemmican" and "How to Lost-Proof Your Child."

And no worries, outdoorspeople, you can take them with you. The books are pocket size and constructed to survive pocket carry.

If you'd like to know more about the J. Wayne Fears series of guidebooks, or to place an order, visit the Pro Tool Industries Web site, http://www.protoolindustries.net/ or call 800-708-5191, where you can also request a free catalog.

Pro Tool Industries’ Web site now offers a new retail store locator where visitors can find a nearby retail location carrying the company’s brands including the J. Wayne Fears guidebooks, Pro Tool Utility Knife Collection and the Woodman’s Pal.

I'm wondering what his experience might be in lost-proofing children. (I think that title needs proofing by the way.) :)
