Montco author to hold discussion on strategic planning Jan. 25

The Barnes and Noble store in Plymouth Meeting will host an hour-long discussion on the topic of "strategic planning and why it's crucial for business success" featuring Telford consultant and author Karen Jett (that's her, pictured at right).

The event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Metroplex Barnes and Noble, 2300 Chemical Road, Plymouth Meeting.

Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Discussion participants will "discover strategic planning secrets to increase profitability for their business and will have an opportunity to ask questions and interact with an expert in the field of successful strategic planning and goal setting," according to a press release.

With more than two decades of accounting and business leadership experience, Jett started her business, Jett Excellence, in 2004 so that she could follow her passion for helping businesses and people to excel. Jett has also developed an interactive ethics training system for small businesses, called “Questioning Ethics,” and has published a book, "Grow Your People, Grow Your Business."

Jett holds associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Montgomery County Community College and Temple University, and she is a Certified Management Accountant. She was inducted into MCCC’s prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame in 2009. Jett has served as a past-president of the North Penn chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and as a current board member of the National Speakers Association.
